About OperationABW
OperationABW was founded in 2005 by James Babb. From 2005 to 2006, the website never had any real content. The only asset OABW had for this entire year, was a forum community, and it was enough, for awhile. Eventually the users abandoned the website, and the forums did not survive the drop in activity. Since most of the administrators had lost interest, the domain name got sold off to a reseller, and the website went offline "permanently".
In 2007, Kirk decided to take action. He resurrected the OperationABW project. It was not even based on the original, aside from the founding principles. Kirk successfully resurrected the forum community, and OperationABW was a recognized name on the Internet once again! In March of 2008, he decided to leave the abandonware theme behind, for legal concerns, as well as due to lack of community interest in that portion of the website. There was much controversy over this decision, and several users were banned from the forums as a result of this controversy. In April of 2008, he decided to go back to the abandonware theme, in order to save the website from annihilation. However, this time, things would be different... the rest, is history unfolding today.
